Protection & Correction

The only protection that physically absorbs stone chips.

Paint protection film is a clear urethane film installed over paintwork. Invisible in use, it absorbs stone chips, road debris, and impact that wax and ceramic coating cannot prevent.

The Service

What PPF actually is.

Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear, flexible urethane film applied to vehicle paintwork. Unlike ceramic coatings and waxes — which protect against UV, minor contamination, and light marring — PPF provides physical impact protection. When a stone or road debris strikes a PPF-covered panel, the film absorbs the impact rather than the paint.

Modern PPF products are self-healing: shallow scratches in the film surface disappear on their own when exposed to heat (sunlight or warm water). The film is optically clear and, when correctly installed on paint that has been properly prepared, is invisible in normal use.
Is This Right for You?

Is this service right for your car?

PPF is for vehicle owners who use motorways regularly, drive on roads with heavy truck traffic or loose gravel, own a vehicle with expensive or difficult-to-match paint, or have paid for paint correction and want to protect that investment from stone chips.

For daily drivers on Italian motorways and regional roads, partial PPF on the bonnet, front bumper, headlights, and mirrors addresses the areas that accumulate the majority of stone chip damage. Full body PPF is a comprehensive solution for high-value vehicles or owners who want maximum coverage.
Who benefits from PPF
The Process

How PPF works.

01

Vehicle inspection

We inspect the paint for existing chips, scratches, and surface condition. Any existing damage is documented before film is installed.

02

Decontamination wash

The panels to be filmed are fully decontaminated. Film installed over contaminated paint will trap deposits under the film permanently.

03

Paint correction (if required)

If paint has existing defects on the zones to be covered, we correct them before installation. PPF locks in whatever is under it.

04

Film cutting & installation

Film is cut to pattern (software-cut or hand-trim depending on panel geometry) and installed using slip solution. Edges are tucked or terminated carefully to minimise visible edge lines.

05

Cure & inspection

Film is squeegeed for full adhesion and allowed to cure. Small installation moisture bubbles clear within a few days. Final edge and surface inspection before collection.

Common questions

Is PPF visible on the car?
On correctly prepared paint with a quality film and professional installation, PPF is not visible in normal use or under typical viewing angles. Edge lines are the most visible element and can be minimised with proper installation technique (tucking edges into panel gaps). On gloss paint, a correctly installed modern PPF is very difficult to detect.
How long does PPF last?
Quality PPF products typically carry a 10-year warranty against yellowing, delamination, and peeling from the manufacturer. In practice, correctly installed PPF on a properly maintained vehicle lasts the stated warranty period without significant degradation.
Can I add a ceramic coating over PPF?
Yes — and this is a common combination. A ceramic coating applied over PPF provides hydrophobic properties on the film surface, making the PPF easier to maintain and keeping it cleaner for longer. The coating is applied to the film surface, not the paint.
What happens if the PPF gets damaged?
Shallow scratches and swirl marks in the film surface self-heal with heat. Significant impacts that cut through the film to the paint underneath can be addressed by replacing that section of film — the paint beneath is typically undamaged because the film absorbed the impact. This is the core value of PPF.
How long is the installation?
Partial PPF (front impact zones) typically takes 1–2 days. Full body PPF takes 3–5 days depending on vehicle complexity. We confirm the timeline during the assessment.
